Megan Stewart, Lic.Ac, is the owner and founder of Acupuncture and Homeopathy of Hingham. In her practice, she treats people with a wide variety of illnesses and imbalances.
Megan’s interest in natural healing techniques began when her children were young. Wanting to find ways to keep herself and her family healthy, she began studying homeopathy, a natural form of medicine. Shortly afterward, she enrolled in New England School of Acupuncture. She graduated in 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture.
She has witnessed the body’s natural ability to heal itself, with a gentle nudge from acupuncture. In her practice, she incorporates acupuncture, homeopathy, moxabustion, cupping, and dietary suggestions.
To stay abreast of improvements and updates in acupuncture and homeopathy, Megan takes continuing education classes in both fields of study. In 2008, she completed a 60-hour course, the Fertile Garden: Treating Infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine. She completed advanced study in Acupuncture and Reproductive Endocrinology in 2013, and Using Acupuncture in Labor and Delivery in 2015. She continues to study with Lou Klein, a renowned homeopath when he lectures in Portland Maine.
During her first career, she earned a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Psychological Services from Springfield College. This, combined with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Westfield State College, taught her the value and importance of listening. She uses this skill in her current practice to help identify underlying causes to patients’ symptoms
She is an active member of Move, Breathe, Explore, an organization of health and wellness practitioners based on the South Shore, Toastmasters of Hanover, and South Shore Business Leaders.
